“SanhaOrganic” is the abbreviation of our community group name “Sanmahaphon Organic and Herbal Products Community Enterprise”

Sanmahaphon, a charming small village nestled in Maetang, Chiangmai, lies approximately 40km from the city center. Despite the ever-encroaching expansion of Chiangmai, this village proudly maintains its unique Lanna culture. Agriculture dominates as the mainstay for the locals, yet many have ventured to Bangkok for employment, driven by the desire to overcome poverty. This project was initiated with a heartfelt purpose: to reunite these beloved family members with their homes.

We don’t sell we give. We give to long-term growth of traditional cultural values, community customs, family oriented virtues and farming. Sustainable, noble local economics, personal health and humanity.

We give devotion, clarity, rote, collaboration, communicative action, and pristine quality herbs to our buyers. We associate a shared story through values. Assuring contributions are reflected in customs. Cultivating generations of generous, regenerative humane entrepreneurship.

In 2009, “Sanha Organic” bloomed in the charming landscapes of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Led by visionary Ms. Muthita Suwannakamsaw, passionate women united to preserve herbal wisdom and promote organic living. Their dedication turned this venture into a symbol of authenticity, inspiring others to embrace the enchanting world of nature’s gifts.

Mutita, inheritor of the traditional herbal medicine knowledge from her uncle, Nhan Piang. She has  learned to use 9 Gymnema  leaves, soaked in rice washing water, to reduce fever in children and make boiled fresh leaves to relieve muscle pain. Despite facing health problems and receiving unsatisfactory treatment in hospitals, Mutita experimented with dried Gymnema leaves and found improvements, eventually quitting conventional medication within 6 months. She distributed Gymnema herbal tea to acquaintances, receiving positive feedback on its unique taste, aroma, and beneficial effects. With confidence in Gymnema’s properties, she formed the “Sanha Organic” to process and sell “Gathong” Gymnema herbal products.

Originally, the group used to produce goods ourselves under the local wisdom and knowledge available within the community. Nowadays, our community enterprise is supported by various government agencies, along with the dedication to continuous development from our own group members. This enables us to manufacture products from the community’s diverse biological resources, meeting international production standards for distribution both domestically and internationally.
